Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Receipt Bank mobile application and related services (“Receipt Bank” or the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Receipt Bank helps you organize receipts, track purchases and return windows, and optionally import purchase information from Gmail. Features may change or be offered on a beta or preview basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

2. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity under your account. You must provide accurate information when registering. Creating a Receipt Bank account does not automatically connect third-party services such as Gmail; those connections require separate action in the app.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful purposes or in violation of applicable laws
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users’ data
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Reverse engineer or misuse the Service except where permitted by law

4. Your content and data

You retain ownership of receipt and related information you submit to the Service. You grant us the rights necessary to host, process, and display that information solely to operate the Service (including optional Gmail import, cloud backup if you enable it, and analysis described in our Privacy Policy).

5. Gmail and third-party services

Optional Gmail integration is subject to Google’s terms and policies. Your use of Sign in with Google, Sign in with Apple, or other third-party sign-in methods is subject to those providers’ terms. We are not responsible for third-party services.

6. Return and purchase information

Receipt Bank may display return deadlines, policies, or retailer information for convenience. Retailer policies change and may vary by product. Always confirm return eligibility directly with the retailer before making a return. Receipt Bank is not a retailer and does not guarantee accuracy of third-party policy or receipt data.

7. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RECEIPT BANK AND THOSE INVOLVED IN PROVIDING THE SERVICE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR REVENUE, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. You may request account deletion as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes

We may modify these Terms. We will post updated Terms on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in your place of residence unless otherwise required by mandatory local law, without regard to conflict of law principles.
